BACKGROUND
This Scottish emblem has been retained by Nova Scotia in honour of the heritage of so many of its early settlers whose descendants carry on many of their traditions.
This is a companion piece to the Ciad Mile Failte design. It uses the same thistle design and, though the photos were taken in different light using different film, the floss colours are actually the same.
