Kit includes pattern/materials for decorative nameplate: "BLUENOSE" (not shown).
|
HISTORIC BACKGROUND
Built in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Bluenose began her career as a full-time
fishing schooner on the Grand Banks in 1921. But from the outset she was
designed to race. Under the command of Captain Angus Walters, her legendary
wins over North America's finest vessels spanned twenty years, and earned
her a place in history - and a minted image on the Canadian dime.
